27 May Dana Points Doheny Village Revitalization Project
The City of Dana Point has begun a comprehensive planning effort for the Doheny Village area. A new Doheny Village Plan is under development to serve as a guide to revitalize the area, improve its appearance and encourage a more vibrant business climate and community. It is expected the plan will establish a clear direction for future revitalization of the Doheny Village area as an attractive, unique neighborhood within the Capistrano Beach community of Dana Point, and as a vital link to other areas of the City.
A successful Doheny Village public workshop was held at Capo Calvary Church in the heart of Doheny Village on November 5, 2011. This was the first outreach effort for the Doheny Village revitalization plan underway with the City’s consultant, Roma Design Group. Attendance exceeded 100 participants, including property owners, business representatives, residents, City leaders and staff. The comments received will assist Roma Design Group as they proceed with alternative visions for the future Doheny Village.
